Add social features #16

Open SamR1 opened 6 years ago

SamR1 commented 6 years ago

For now FitTrackee is kind of a single-user application (even if several users can register). A user can only view his own activities.

TODO in the 1st part:

Wonderful. The ActivityPub sub-task has a question mark. If AP is indeed on the roadmap, then I'll add your project to the ActivityPub Application Watchlist (which is staging area for Fediverse Party). Planning to support AP? (PS. I was led here by your toot).

SamR1 commented 3 years ago

The question mark is because I'm still trying to understand ActivityPub and what I can integrate in FitTrackee, with privacy in mind. There are some technical issues I don't know how to handle yet.

Not the fastest way to add social features to FitTrackee, but exploring how to implement AP seems an interesting way to do it :).

aschrijver commented 3 years ago

You are well underway :) In any case we've added you to the application watchlist!

What do you think about (Hash)-Tags?

SamR1 commented 2 years ago

Hi,

Tags will probably be implemented (but not in the first version).

aschrijver commented 2 years ago

PS. ActivityPub Watchlist mentioned above has been moved to 3 separate Fediverse related lists on https://delightful.club

Also for impl. help this SocialHub topic is a good starter: https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/guide-for-new-activitypub-implementers/479

Hi. Is there any work in progress to add community features? When can I expect them?

SamR1 commented 1 year ago

Hi,

These features are under development (the progress is indicated in the issue). I can't really give a release date, I work on FitTrackee when I have some free time.

Hi @SamR1, How can I help you develop the code?
