The original source is provided under GPL, which means that this fork must remain under GPL as well. Unless you were to get express permission from the copyright holder of the original source code.

Ended development of emulator and dropped all use of code. I have to use MIT License. None of your code has been used, nor has anything been analyzed. The content to be created is not related to emulation or simulation.
