While playing Stardate MAP05 as Corvus, I couldn't but notice that the Megasphere only gives you 100/100 Health and armor. While this sounds pretty neat as an inventory item, the player gets screwed over if you're playing a slaughter mapset such as Stardate, which relies on wanting to heal you fully to 200/200 right before it gives you a horde of 60-70 revenants plus other things (I'm describing the last mob btw) to put up with. When I was playing as corvus, I had to first apply 4 of the flasks I had to 100 hp, then added the megasphere as 100/100, which got me to a grand total of 200/100. Assuming the 100 armor is green armor, that not only downgrades my armor quality but also the armor amount. I think the Megasphere in singleplayer should be the same universally as slaughtermaps want you to have the 200/200 for the mob, knowing that you're going to be using pretty much all of it until you get to the 2-4 medikits behind the huge mob. Stardate, like some other wads, have a habit of healing you via soulspheres and megaspheres only knowing that you're going to take quite a bit of damage.
