Gunners seem to be basically useless, perhaps a suppression logic in the AI would help with that (all gunners firing directly upwards stopping enemy planes from passing above) Planes should have their overheat setting set, gunships in particular are able to be spammed in some situations leading to catastrophic levels of damage if only due to their high direct splash. Plane firing collision, It may be an AI only option but I remember there being something about fire clearance, planes often collide with things as they are fired. Damage multipliers, there is quite a low amount of set damage multipliers, setting some, especially for turbines, plasmas (to prevent them from blocking fired projectiles) and damage to other planes may allow for collisions without both dying.
