As shown from the image, missing step to add person to subgroup. Cosmetic issue(missing step) and documentation bug.

Team's Response

This is not a bug but a feature. It is possible that the user might try to add the user to a subgroup when they are not in the over-arching group, which is why this error message is thrown. The error message also clearly states how to get around it.

 Issue response

Reason for disagreement: I disagree. There is indeed nothing wrong with this design and an error when the user is added to the subgroup without being in the group is understandable. The issue is that in the user guide, it does not tell me that the person is supposed to be from an overarching group before being able to be added into the subgroup. What I'm suggesting is to add one line to tell the people reading that you have to add the user to a group before you can add them to the subgroup. It is not clear at all in the userguide as shown in the image above and thus I need to infer this myself or find out about it after getting after an error message for the first time. Thus, the response that it is not a bug but a feature is not what I am trying to address but the issue of having a clearer user guide by adding a step.
