Looking for an option that is easy to remember, relevant to the Samurai theme, and not confusing. Leading contenders are:

• sensei (teacher)
• tang (as in the back portion of the blade. also an orange drink ;)
• menuki (the decorative ornaments under handle wrapping)
• kaji (Japanese for swordsmith)
