Nice idea!

indrakaw commented 9 years ago

Good one!

Why don't Chinese start learning English ?, How much can you realistically translate ? The world is full of information and most of it is created in the western world. Learning English isn't that difficult, translating everything in the world to Chinese would be more difficult.

@pankajdoharey +1

mvcds commented 9 years ago

@pankajdoharey I'm sure that if someone is translating something (s)he must speaks that language, so @cinience already must understand English a little bit and even if not, isn't translating a way of spreading information by removing the language barrier?

alinz commented 9 years ago

@pankajdoharey that was a little bit harsh. You are not going to translate it. @cinience step up to do the job.

Btw, we have something called i18n for a reason and remember the more audiences we have the better project gets.

@cinience :+1:

English has been proven to be one of the most difficult languages to learn because of how absolutely ridiculous the grammatical structure is. You can use the word "had" four times in a row in a sentence, and it would still be proper english.

metacritical commented 9 years ago

True i did not write that with an intent of malice, i was just suggesting that English would be a much useful language in a long run. We cannot translate all of github for that matter can we ?

gubertoli commented 9 years ago

Great initiative @cinience with a chinese version. You will benefit people that does not speak english spreading knowledge.

Anyone wants to do the same for Portuguese ?

franklinchou commented 9 years ago

@cinience Please reach out if you need any help at all!

I cannot believe how ignorant some comments like: "learn English" are. And I'm pointing at you: @pankajdoharey. The reason that open software communities like github exist are for the proliferation of knowledge. Not for the proliferation of English.

感谢感谢 Although some leader said the importance of everyone to learn English is right with strong support ,I think it's more important to learn the core of the repo . By translation ,the word can be spread to more people interested in os. Thanks you all .
