Instead of virāma, use the character vediic tiryak (1CED). This works for me: ᳪं᳭. It works even with the virāma in some places, including in github: ᳪं्, but not in other places.
looks like this: a "working solution" instead of a clean formation.

This happens in a few instances with proprietary software. We generally test with open source tools such as XeLaTeX. We will try to fix it in our next release - which may be a while.
