I add my closest friends and family real world addresses in my contact. 
Sometimes I want to let them know the distance (miles or km, [DISTm] or 
[DISTkm]) between my current location and theirs, by car or pedestrian.

This could be possible by adding the city location based on area code feature 
mentioned before, along with retrieving your location from gps. I will 
definitely give this a look also. Thanks again. I'm loving all of your ideas
