update/re-install - Githubissues

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I originally installed the app and was working correctly
2.Recently prompted to update through the market but the update didn't get 
through. Error message returned:"insufficient storage available". NB I have 5gb 
on internal sorage and more on sd card.
3.tryed to uninstall and then reinstall it but now won't get installed (it gets 
downloaded try to install but abort with error)returning the same error message.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what device / operating
system?
Version used was last available from the market. Device is Sony Experia Z1. 
Android 4.4.4

Please provide any additional information below.
I had the same issue on another couple of apps but worked around with 
uninstalling an reinstalling them
FYI Also other apps get downloaded and installed with no problem (shouldn't be 
a storage issue?)
