2 years ago I removed my ip address from the allowed hosts, so now the only allowed remote access to the DB is the wildcard and this seams to have allowed all ip addresses access

Siteground is hosting the mysql server and to connect only allows specified ip addresses.
On the Siteground documentation they have stated that it is possible to allow all ip addresses to connect however this does not work.
Look into maybe specifying a more specific range of ip addresses that will still allow anyone to connect.
