Building a system from scratch Identified holes in our project, recognized we were understaffed and took on roles to guide project. Made sure to manage different priorities from teams, made sure everyone was getting something out of it. Was thrown into the deep end in starting up our CVA risk desk coming out of the mortgage crisis. My seniors at the time intentionally did this to test me, ended up being the youngest promoted manager in the group, continued getting promotions as my MDs felt no need to replace my seniors as hierarchies changed.
