Standard Length Talk

Description

Sass' built-in functions are incredibly powerful, while massively underused. Sure, you may occasionally use lighten() or round(). But how about str-slice(), adjust-hue() or unique-id()? This talk will address all 80 Sass functions, quickly explaining how they work and what to use them for (and yes, some will only get 5 seconds of fame).

In case you hadn't guessed: this is going to be a high energy, fast paced presentation :rocket:

Target audience

This talk is aimed towards intermediate and advanced users of Sass who want to know more about what functions there are, and be inspired by what to use them for in everyday settings.

It's a great fit for SassConf, because it goes into so much detail on the language. A dive this deep is probably too much for most other conferences. The Sasstronauts at SassConf can handle it though.

Speaker Info

Roy is a speaker, trainer and front-end architect from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He started using Sass early 2007 and hasn't written any plain ol' CSS since. By day he works on AppSignal, by night he shoots through the sky as a Sasstronaut.
