Health Equity Tracker is a free-to-use data visualization platform that is enabling new insights into the impact of COVID-19 and other social and political determinants of health on historically underrepresented groups in the United States.
checks in new PHRMA cancer screening csvs (made from source xlsx files) to data/
updates comment on original phrma datasource re: loading script
adds new phrma_brfss data source to handle loading and shipping cancer screening measures (which are originally sourced from BRFSS)
NOTE: there is a lot of duplication, I will plan to refactor and extract shared code from phrma and phrm_brfss into a phrma_utils file
TESTING
adds a bare bones test file for new cancer screening that shows:
the real data being loaded from data/
the various topics being aggregated into a race x national df
UTIL FUNCTION
rather than require us to recreate the data/ as test data, I'm adding a utility that allows the python tests to "mock" and actually still just read from the real data/ dir
LINT
prefix unused vars with _ to make linter happy
new type for cancer based breakdown options
