This is supported in version 2.2 of the SDK, but may be tricky to add and 
maintain backward compatibility with 1.6

It turns out installing on an SD card is not recommended for certain 
application types.  Alarm Klock falls into several of the listed types here:
http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/install-location.html#ShouldNot
