[BUG] Language not applied to the app #97

Android (OS) version: 7.1.2 (LineageOS for microG 14.1) Android (OS) language (in English): French App release: 2.0 (113) App language (in English): Esperanto Device RAM: 2GB Device display size (in Inches): ? Device model (and brand): LG Nexus 5 From what store have you installed the app?: F-Droid Are there installed Google Services on your device? Yes (microG)

Description bug It applies my system language (French) when I elected Esperanto in the list. And a partial translation of Esperanto is done in the translation platform.

maybe it's due to needing a threshold for the translation for it to be used
maybe the app translation system is limited by what the Android version supports and ship and Android supports and manufacturer ship far less languages than those having an ISO code

Same with Brezhoneg and Spanish.

Ok. It's a problem with the androud version. I guess you don't have "Spanish" as language of the device (not the default language, but one of downloaded language)... I don't really know. Probably this will be a "wontfix" sorry

Works with Android 9. Though hopefully it does not mean that bellow versions are doomed ^^" It depends on the details.

I have it.

If I enable Spanish as second language in the list of system languages, and Common Voice is set to Spanish. I still get French.
If swap both language in the list of system languages (es 1, fr 2) and set Common Voice to french, I get Spanish
system: es 1, en-US 2; Common Voice: English; Result: Spanish

First system language takes over.

Ok, it doesn't change programmatically the language, but use just the language of system. I'm sorry, I really don't know how to fix for now. I've added "wontfix" in this issue

No worries, I'm happy with it being recognized as an issue, even without a fix due the complexity of the situation.

As the application suggests, the app is still not fully translated to Esperanto. I would say then which there's an incomplete Esperanto translation, no problem while switching from a language to another one. @Sav22999
