Cosmetic issue in Notefox 3.4.1.2 #43

Closed ghost closed 10 months ago

Just updated Notefox from 3.4.1.1 to 3.4.1.2 I'm encountering a modest cosmetic issue with the color tags which no longer appear on the left side of the notes viewed in /all-notes : the color tag options are available, the association with notes as chosen by the user remains, it's only that the colored per-tag column on the left of the notes no longer appears.

With Notefox 3.4.1.2:

1

With Notefox 3.4.1.1:

2

SIDE-NOTE : don't consider interface colors, which i've slightly modified on the basis of Notefox's dark theme.

Thank you for the report! Just fixed and I'm release the 3.4.1.3.

@Cade66 you are always so precious to improve the addon, thank you! 😄

Just updated Notefox from 3.4.1.2 to 3.4.1.3 which fixed the modest issue : thanks @Sav22999 for such a quick fix.

It's like with one's girl-friend asking you your opinion about her hair, dress and so on : if you really care for her you'll be honest, maybe not in excessive terms (if you find anything lousy perhaps you'll describe it as "not the best to fit her natural beauty") but within honesty. Same with extensions, if you love them (though for other reasons than sentimental (lol) then you'll share your critics. Need to say I'm fond of Notefox? :)

Side-note: what's new with Notefox 3.4.1.2+ ? Maybe a natural reaction to updates is to know what has been added/modified/removed. Not all extension developers publish the update's changes but when they do it is most appreciated. Even software developers sometimes make it hard to find their softwar's history (and sometimes don't detail it at all) even though it seems so valuable to know what's been going on ... :)

Maybe, in future, I'll create a website with a dedicated page like for Emoji or Sav PDF Viewer. Thanks for the great feedback. Remember it's important (if you haven't done yet) reviews on Firefox Addons 😄

Roger :) I know that indeed extensions which have a GitHub repository often display there the extension's history, but I had a look at https://github.com/Sav22999/websites-notes/releases/tag/3.4.1.3-Notefox but not at https://github.com/Sav22999/websites-notes/releases ...

About reviewing on AMO : I've had an account, then closed it, several times. Why? Because I got exasperated with AMO adding /?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search to links opening extensions' pages. Unavoidable even with dedicated tools such as the CleanLinks extension because AMO refers to the user's IndexedDB to open the link with these url parameters : blocking cookies for AMO disables access to IndexedDB (hence clean links) with the drawback of less performant AMO pages but yet functional. Of course I could have kept the account but enabling/disabling cookie permission for AMO each time I need to login is fastidious : it just got on my nerves after having never received a reply forom Mozilla concerning this bother. Maybe I'll open again an account one day or another. You see, as many of us, I'm extremely tied to privacy and such things as UTM url parameters on a Mozilla domain is simply beyond my agreement. Otherwise,5 stars for Notefox, but I understand that publicly stated is a normal award for a developer. I guess you get the idea!
