Menu beneath the panel with cairo-compmgr and panel_dock #394

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run cairo-compmgr
2. Set the panel_dock to 1
3. Right click on the panel or cairo-compgr icon in tray

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The menu should be visible over the panel, but I can see only the part of it,
the rest is beneath (not visible).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.11 on Arch x64

Please provide any additional information below.
Variations of the problem: setting panel_dock to 0 makes the menu appear over
the panel. Disabling cairo-compmgr also helps. But I would like to use both at
the same time.

Here is kind of workaround for those using openbox, I don't know whether you
can set margins in other WMs. But it doesn't fix the issue, only makes it
easier to live with

Thanks. We should look into this.

Apparently there has not been any activity in cairo-compmgr since 2010. It does
not work properly anymore on recent versions of Ubuntu (going as far back as
12.04).

Moreover, other compositing managers such as compton interact correctly with
tint2, which suggests this problem was probably not caused by tint2.

Therefore closing.
