Linux-specific issue. Try validating terrarias files or reinstalling it. Sometimes assets will download incorrectly on linux, especially if running through proton. Make sure you're running the game natively and not on proton.
or rather -- UNIX specific issue I should say since it appears you're on OSX
Should I do a clean install of terraria, or will it just not work on unix systems?
I use linux as well, and this bug is really old and sucks. The easiest fix, for me atleast, is to find what file is broken (In this case it's Projectile_179) and fixing it yourself. (just search for it in your file manager of choice, I use Dolphin.) This is really easy, because the majority of the time the issue is that the P in Projectile isn't capitalized. All you have to do is copy the file and capitalize the P in it. I also had to do this for another file which was the exact same process. You can probably whip up a bash script to do this automatically, but that's more effort than I'm putting in.
This is generally more useful for me than it is to verify the game cache, because that never works and causes more problems that it solves
Final notice actually, the majority of problems with tmodloader caused by resource packs are capitlization. A lot of the time, certain workshop items won't have an icon in tmod because they're named Icon.png instead of icon.png. And certain packs will not work unless you delete duplicate files (See below for a video)
For some clarification here, the reason deleting Roar_0.mp3
makes the pack work is because it has the same name (NOT extension) as Roar_0.xnb
.
This is also why certain resource packs don't show up in tmod, as the name is Pack.json
instead of pack.json
(See below)
This bit isn't really
related to the topic, but it gives me an excuse to post this somewhere.
After the mod has finished loading, this error occurs a few seconds later. Have tried with other cheat mods and this seems to be the only one that does this. Only mod loaded is DragonLens. client.log
