For clarity and error-avoidance on initial installation, and also for key info when re-visiting, it would be nice to have a 'quick-start' guide. Can't remember the exact order or details from when I installed, but would include things like:
source and install a switch that will turn system on/off (chapter ...)
start batteries charging so both at same level
configure raspberry pi (settings, software install) - specific settings and items, reference chapter for details
with power off, not plugged in, attach red reactor board
install batteries with drawing showing polarity and some landmarks on pcb
plug in, power on
When I first installed I put the batteries in before attaching the board, then thought I had fried it when it would not power on with the switch. Eventually I went back to troubleshooting - board without batteries apply power, install batteries, apply power, batteries only.
The manual makes clear that there are lots of options for how the system can be used and configured, but this leaves the simplest 'get it up and working first time' steps buried in many pages of "if you're doing this then ..."
Today I want to take it apart and add a heatsink, it would be nice to have this document to refer to.
There are indeed a few things to do to get it up and running, and although I think it is all covered by the manual I can see having a summary section could be useful. I'll try and get an update done soon.
