Fix scanning #159

Resolves #45

Scanning works, tested all different parameters
A compilation is created and subsequent steps are run

Not very happy with the solution for parsing Enums in the abstract factory since it requires all enums that are used in that way to have the from_name property. If you have another simple solution that would be appreciated

Generally looks good now, but something is wrong with the diff since split-status was merged so please fix that first
