I often use scantailor advanced for drawings. However, the export is always tiff.
For drawings, I would prefer an option to export png, with color white made transparant (color to alpha), so a e-reader can show custom background (e.g. yellowed page) instead of annoying white.
The png settings I prefer are: indexed, 1 bit palette (black), so only black pixels are kept. White is made transparent using color to alpha. This makes sure the picture is tiny as possible while preserving visible data.
