App fails to build after upgrading from 6.23.0 to 6.24.0, 6.24.1 or 6.25.0

After updating the Scandit SDK version from 6.23.0 (which works) to 6.24.0, 6.24.1 or 6.25.0, my bitrise build process fails to build. Were there any libraries that were updated between the versions 6.23.0 to 6.24.0? I need help because I need the 6.24.0 update because it fixes a major issue for my app.

This is the build error that I am getting after updating to 6.24.0. As soon as I update the library version, I get this error without making any other changes, so I know it has something to do with the version change.

• ERROR: R8: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot read field "e" because the return value of "com.android.tools.r8.graph.m.c(com.android.tools.r8.graph.v2)" is null
• **What went wrong: Execution failed for task ':app:minifySprintReleaseWithR8'.

  A failure occurred while executing com.android.build.gradle.internal.tasks.R8Task$R8Runnable Compilation failed to complete**

Are there any proguard rules that I need to add?
