Desktop app says "use the Desktop app" while searching #168

On EndeavourOS (Arch) w/ GNOME, installed via AUR schildichat-desktop-bin.

This has far too less information, e. g. which OS, which way of installation etc. And then the main question is: Does encrypted message search work under the same circumstances with Element? Only then there's any chance for getting it to work. I agree the wording is awful, it shouldn't say for desktop use desktop, but this is a general error always shown when encrypted message search is broken somehow. But this should be changed upstream.

This issue also appears on the latest flatpak build. 

SchildiChat version: 1.11.13-sc.1
Olm version: 3.2.12

OS: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS

This issue does not appear in the lastest flatpak build of Element (1.11.14, Olm: 3.2.12). Let me know if you need any more information.

Well, we need somebody who knows enough about flatpak and encrypted room search. I don't know much about either, so I have no clue how to fix that. 🤷

This issue is also happening to me using the AUR package schildichat-desktop-bin version 1.11.30.sc.2-1 while trying to view files in encrypted rooms. image

OS Info: Linux 6.3.4-arch1-1x86_64 GNU/Linux

Facing the same issue with Flatpak and fedora grafik

Information about the system: Fedora release 38 (Thirty Eight) x86_64 Kernel 6.3.12-200.fc38.x86_64 GNOME 44.3

Information about SchildiChat: Version: 1.11.30-sc.2

Same here on Arch Linux while trying to list all file attachments in a channel. Using schildichat-desktop-bin 1.11.30.sc.2-1 from AUR.

Seeing the same thing on Windows 10 with 1.11.30-sc.2

Having the same problem with Debian 11 SchildiChat: 1.11.36-sc.3 in encrypted rooms / chats

Any update on this issue? I really want to fully replace Element with SchildiChat
