Now the upstream's broken IRC layout will be fixed by https://github.com/SchildiChat/matrix-react-sdk/pull/21 or another PR, from which its commits are cherry-picked, I would like to see an option to hide avatars on IRC layout, in order to make the UI subtle and have it emulate actual IRC software's UI more.
