I need a couple more informations to debug the error.

Skylercrane23 commented 3 years ago
  1. LocationSimulator Version: v0.1.7
  2. I Installed it via release page. I tried LocationSimulator.app.zip but it gets an error and just has me move the application to the trash. the _LocationSimulator_withoutdependencies.app.zip lets me download successfully and open it. But when I try to select my device in the sidebar I get the "Could not establish a connection to the device."
  3. I am on IPhone
  4. IOS Version 14.3

Looks like I figured it out while going through this. For some reason if the device isn't trusted in the finder sidebar it won't connect. I leave this comment here in case other people have the same issue, is there a way to trust the device when opening the location simulator? if not no worries. Might have just been because I got a new phone recently so it was never trusted on my computer.

Thanks for the awesome app, great work!

Thanks for mentioning, that the download link seems to be broken. For some reason the github upload will mark the app as damaged... I have to look into this. I haven't implemented the pairing feature yet. For now you have to trust the device in the finder sidebar first. I will open a new feature request and close this issue
