[BUG] “LocationSimulator” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. #94

Describe the bug Open the app installed through homebrew fails with the following error:

“LocationSimulator” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. brew install locationsimulator
  2. Open the installed app.

Expected behavior The app opens.

Two things:

  1. The homebrew version is pretty outdated. I need to update it. Please use the nightly from the github repo.
  2. You need to grant a gatekeeper exception. Right click (not double click) the app and click to open.
