Hello Chris.

I just updated my EFI from 0.6.3 to 0.6.4 But I faced a boot problem. After I replaced the EFI folder, with mine Smbios's info... it stuck on Apple logo with no loading bar.

for now I revert to 0.6.3 efi folder fra my backup. I hope you can fix it or advice me for resolving the problem.

Otherwise it boots Only the boot menu has a problem now, I cannot move the menu right or left so that I can't see when Mac or Windows boot selected. The way I boot it was trying how far I could select with the left arrow until I selected the right disk.

Tried the same config. Didn't really worked for me as well, even with disabled FileVault. Tried this archive and the latest release with USB kexts.

@g3d and @hackmgrm Can you please try to set these settings: AppleCpuPmCfgLock=1 AppleXcpmCfgLock=1

Can you try the current repo? So download from the landing page and not from the release page.

I have just committed the changes but haven't put out a new release yet until you confirm it is working again.

g3d commented 3 years ago

@SchmockLord would check that in an hour and circle back to you

g3d commented 3 years ago

@SchmockLord latest master working like a charm. Regular update actions (extract EFi, rename config (iGPU compute only) change MLB, Serial, SystemUUID, save & reboot), progressbar visible, system is loading.

icydiafire commented 3 years ago

Tried the new Config file but the problem is still here with the boot menu image

Hello, I fixit the issue, now working fine, if you download my fixed EFI for iMac20,2 RX580 with iGPU computing only, remember to add some kext, I don't use AppleALC.kext and disable audio onboard in bios because my hack use for pro audio recording and I use external audio interfaces. I also removed the lan Intel I255 that I don't use but you can always add them. EFI.zip I am attaching my EFI 🗡️

Just updated to latest Big Sur 11.1 RC on new EFI, everything working as it should

Updated to latest Master (0.64) and macOS 11.1 today and it all went smoothly. No issues from my end.

addisonduda commented 3 years ago

Also updated to the latest EFI and macOS 11.1 - good GPU (RX580) and CPU (10700K) scores. Nice work everyone
