Reasons for switching to GraphQL:

This is GitHub's recommended way to query for information. Others may be deprecated.
PyGithub is third party, and maintenance can be patchy.
Can access information unavailable via the current method e.g. GitHub Discussions.
Runs much faster - only downloads what is needed.
