Cached the shape of a LinearMosaic. #45

Adds shape caching to the LinearMosaic for a noticeable performance improvement with large Mosaics.

I didn't intend to include the docstring update in this PR, but I don't think it does any harm (I also don't think it adds much, but that is beside the point).
