"Set cursor from sprite" does not work in NWJS exports #7789

Closed Cowboy-Toad-Team closed 9 months ago

Cowboy-Toad-Team commented 9 months ago

Problem description

Setting a cursor from sprite does not work in NWJS exports of the project - as far as I know it isn't to do with any of the export settings either.

Attach a .c3p

mouseproject.zip

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the project in construct
  2. Notice how the cursor changes to the sprite in preview
  3. Export as NWJs with default export settings and run the project.

Observed result

In opening the NWJS export, the mouse cursor is set to default.

Expected result

The mouse cursor should be set to the sprite.

More details

it does work in preview mode and in WebView exports.

This appears to be the result of a bug in NW.js 0.83. I've filed an issue for it here: https://github.com/nwjs/nw.js/issues/8162 Closing this issue as it will be followed up there.

FWIW it does not reproduce in Windows WebView2, which I'd recommend using instead of NW.js if you are exporting for Windows.
