Create a Quandl 'safety net' #559

Currently if Quandl is offline the app falls apart. As a safety net I'd like to propose:

We have a timeout (perhaps 10 seconds) on all API requests.
If a timeout occurs, or a rate-limit is exceeded, we display a message that the app is going to be working on offline mode.
In offline mode we use a dataset that we have pre-downloaded, perhaps a restricted selection of stocks (FTSE250)?

This feels like rather a large task for the Initial public release!

I'm not sure how easy it would be able to do from a Bitflux perspective. @jleft what do you think?

Very true, I'm only including it in the milestone as a candidate. We can discuss (and potentially thrown out) on Wednesday

It's hard to say without knowing more about what BitFlux would be responsible for and how it would interface with StockFlux - I think it would be worth discussing further to work this out.
