Comment by Scott on April 20, 2021: I don't see any delivery attempts for ".sginfo@spamgourmet.com" in the logs, and I can't see any delivery issues from spamgourmet.com itself.
Are you sure that address didn't self-destruct after 3 messages? Are you sure spamgourmet doesn't have issues with a leading "." in addresses?
Comment by mungbean on April 21, 2021: Sorry about the leading "." in the address, the full address is obbzxvat.sginfo@spamgourmet.com.
It's my own spamgourmet account and I'm trying to switch the forwarding address from my personal gmail account to purelymail. If I switch the address to my work gmail account the confirmation email is received immediately.
Since it's the confirmation email for switching addresses I'm sure it's not self-destructing.
Comment by mungbean on April 21, 2021: Here is the received email, with the recipient address changed to hidden@example.com
Comment by Scott on April 21, 2021: Very curious. I've signed up for spamgourmet myself and didn't have any troubles confirming or swapping back and forth with gmail; the confirmation emails I received are the only ones that show up in the logs.
Could you test whether signing up for a new spamgourmet account with that address receives a confirmation email? If all else fails, spamgourmet does have a support forum you (or if you wanted I) could try asking in. I suspect this could be a spamgourmet bug because nothing else makes much sense.
Comment by mungbean on April 22, 2021: I've signed up for a new spamgourmet address, and I didn't receive the confirmation email when I use my custom domain. If I use my purelymail.com email address it works fine.
Weird how I haven't noticed any other problems with receiving emails to my domain.
Comment by Scott on April 23, 2021: The only idea I have left is that maybe Spamgourmet cached old domain records (if you recently switched from Gmail) with a very long TTL, but only on the servers that send the confirmation messages. So it's still trying to deliver to Gmail. If that's true it's possible your problem may self-resolve at some point.
Seems like kind of a stretch though. I'd recommend asking Spamgourmet about it if it continues and is important to you, as if it never hits our servers there's not much I can do to fix it.
Comment by mungbean on April 27, 2021: Thanks, as a work around I'll use my @purelymail.com address for spamgourmet rather than my custom domain. I've raised an issue with SG to see if they can shed more light on the problem.
(This issue was imported from Gitea) mungbean on April 20, 2021: Hi,
I'm not receiving mail from.sginfo@spamgourmet.com. I can receive mail fine from this address when using Gmail. I've checked my junk folder and it's not there either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
