I am not a lawyer (IANAL) so not exactly sure if we really need to attach the copyright notice to each and every source file? @schlomo what is your opinion?

AFAIK there is no court decision on this topic - IANAL :-)

Besides that I think that if we have the license file in the source code then it will be clear to everybody. Adding the boilerplate to each file for sure would be nice but also makes more work and tends to be in the way visually.

I probably would have a boilerplate in source files that have a very high likelyhood to end up beeing copied to other projects.

Cool, none of the files in this project have such a likelihood, so we will leave it at that.
