Continuation of #36, addressing ScratchAddons/ScratchAddons#2292 and ScratchAddons/ScratchAddons#2305

EDIT: Apple also extends this to ScratchAddons/ScratchAddons#2326.

I'm going to say that merging three different changes on a single PR is cringe, but, well, Apple being Apple.
