I guess this "tip" doesn't really belong on this page but it's the most suitable at the moment

Use "Addon API" (capitalised "Addon"), as it is a feature name.

I have a local branch that adds a new page for general development tips but I didn't publish it yet because I could only think of 2 (not including this one)
