If you enter a public edition, you can currently change text in the transcription and perform other editing activities. These are not saved to the server and disappear when you load the scroll again (no user has the right to change the public scrolls, they must make their own first). We should however make it impossible to do such edits in the web interface, because it might confuse users who might do some large amount of work only to discover that it does not get saved.
