4 years ago Some of the topics I wanted to touch upon include:
- The huge changes in economics of computing power and memory capacity
- Changes in the library ecosystem
- The ability to make substantial inroads into some problems using only available open source libraries and a 2019 era laptop
- Integrations with other services
- Combining data science/stats and optimization in the same products
Yeah that might be a good idea, there's a really fascinating history here and a whole bunch of people's intuition has either been formed or based on an era that no longer exists.
