My general concern with cross-posting between platforms is that they are different. For example, Mastodon's search is hashtag-driven, not full-text, so we use more hashtags on Mastodon posts than we would on Twitter. Also, whenever we mention people (e.g. speakers, sponsors), the handles aren't the same across platforms.

I'm not saying we shouldn't do it, but we do lose something from not being "native" on each platform.

The mao one allows you to do #noxp to avoid it on certain posts, totally understand your concerns but figure that was at least worth pointing out.
