The new Update is out!

Try it out and tell me what you think!

Changes include:

ATTENTION -> NOTE: Saved Variable Lists from the last release won't be fully compatbile with the new Release. I tried to make it happen but it would not work with all the changes implemented.

• Auto-StartUp
• Custom Imports (Keyboard Presses and Variables)
• Custom Exports
• Save and Load Functionality for settings, connections and variables (including custom ones)
• A "Connect by Ident" Functionality which let's you Auto-Connect your devices by sending a commmand from the device to the program.
• An "Identify your Device" Functionality included in the Ident, which let's you send a specific device Name to the program. which is then being displayed.
• Correct Scaling and reformatting when changing the Window-Size
• New Help Pages
• Bugfixes
• Probably some new Bugs... But they will be fixed 😄

Anyway I hope after all this time, there is still someone left to enjoy the new content. In the next few weeks I will focus on implementing:

• A Serial Monitor
• Some Kind of Flow-Control for Serial-Data in the realm of Ideas presented by @Discman777
• Variable Filter and more Variables (i.e. String-Variables)
• Function to sendVariables/Commands to the Sim within the program
• Advancement in the Button-Import Functionality to allow for "Ctrl+" "Shift+" and "Alt+" functionality.

It took me longer than anticipated, which is a bummer. I wanted this update up and running one month ago but sometimes life

I’ve been using Release 1.2 for a couple of days now. It’s been performing very well. The basic data transfer operates as always. The connection improvement and new Auto-startup launces flawlessly. I have not used the new Connect by Ident protocol, since the software has already been able to default itself to the COM port I use.

The other new feature is the “Buttons” addition. It also works as advertised. This feature serves the need where there’s a missing link from SimConnect. For instance, I use it to trigger a keyboard command to swap the ADF’s standby-active frequencies. This could be enhanced by supporting Shift-Ctrl-Alt key combinations, which you already have mentioned in your post. As for the new Custom Import, I have not tried it because I don’t know how it works.

Another thing about the new release I’ve noticed is the expanded help tabs. I really appreciate that you’ve taken the effort to document new features as they are introduced.
