Of course, this is all designed to be as isolated and all that as possible, but there are things to be said for having data that lives in the cloud - the main advantage that could be gleaned from this would be rejecting the possibility of someone trying to check in with two separate greeters, which is otherwise something that can only be caught post-facto (though that'd also be a bad-faith thing, so it's not such a pressing need).
