The main idea is to create an app where it's fast and easy to take photos of something you want to keep track of. The main usages I've thought of so far are:
Food intake
Dermatological issues
Progress pics for fitness/exercise
Kid or pet growth
The motivation is that if you use the camera for these things, they're scattered about the phone's gallery, mixed in with other photos. This makes them hard to find and also potentially embarrassing (if you show your vacation photos to a friend, and they scroll past a picture of a rash you're tracking).
So, this would be a wholly self contained app with tags and timeline features, to help sort, categorize, and scroll through photos for an easy comparison. Future features might include an overlay (for lining up photos), and a tool to re-align photos after the fact. For things like rashes or pet growth, it would be cool to be able to drag left and right and fade through the photos, to see the change over time, and it would help to have them aligned with each other.
