For users in China who might not have an english name, this will be a problem as addbio would not work for them.

Team's Response

Hi, thank you for the feedback. We acknowledge that for the application to work comfortably for all diabetic users, demographics should be considered.

However, at this stage, as specified in the third paragraph of page 15 of our user guide (https://mynbox.nus.edu.sg/userportal/#/shared/public/lxQFvFSUBbKFFAW1/CS2103-PE/not-zipped/CS2103-T16-1), names can currently contain only alphabets and spaces.

Thus, we believe this to not necessarily be a user flaw. For users who are able to use the app (or for caretakers who are helping the user to use the app), we believe that he / she (or his / her caretaker) should already possess some proficiency in English to be able to read and use the features. A user who has a Chinese name can currently set an English nickname for the biography.

In future developments, developers could perhaps release the application in more languages (Chinese, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, French, German etc.) and that would certainly make it more meaningful and useful for entirely non-English-speaking users, rather than a change in the language of the name itself (but still having English text for all other features).
