There is also this add on which seems to work pretty well once setup. I only use Zigbee or ESP sensors so I can’t say anything for that.

My combo is all my streams get sent to a Linux server with Frigate installed in Docker Compose and a coral TPU. Then i installed DoubleTake inside Home assistant. I then use CompreFace installed on a Jetson Nano. Frigate does the initial object and motion detection along with the basic NVR functions. It also reencodes the streams as RTMP so multiple devices can pull from the same stream. When Frigate detects something like a person it crops the image and sends it to DoubleTake which uses CompreFace for Facial Recognition. It does this along with telling you age, gender, and if they are wearing a mask. DoubleTake has a nice interface GUI that allows you to take images from various sources and train the model. So when I walk up to my front door it already knows who I am, unlocks the door, turns on the lights if needed, and welcomes me home. It does that for all of my family with different greetings for each person. Does all of this in under 200ms

So yea, Wyze can keep their crap. I still have a few old pan cams and mainly a door lock. But the lock can be paired with Zigbee anyway. So by Wyze not working WITH the maker community they are just shooting themselves in the foot.

I’m not sure what any of that has to do with this PR, but thanks?

One part I thought I was sending to a different group. But yea I've been part of the "Wyze integration into Home Assistant" for a long time. And they never listen.

But yea Amcrest AD410 doorbell cameras and ReoLink PoE is the way to go. Then just run Zigbee or wait for matter to come out.

Or you can build your own sensors cheap. I just bought a handful of ESP32 and ESP8266's, soldered them up into a project box and those work the best out of everything I've tried. And the newer ESP32's are pretty powerful. Not to mention the BT integrations you can then tie in with BT Proxy and BLE

Well if nothing else this conversation will keep the PR open for another 45 days 😛. Seems that’s all that’s happening in this repo anymore is battling the stalebot.
