Spotify remains muted #92

A couple days ago, I booted up my laptop and found that Spotify no longer plays sound. I don't know for sure that this is caused by Spotify-AdKiller, but I suspect that it is. I have tried rebooting, reinstalling Spotify (sudo apt remove --purge spotify-client), deleting ~/.cache/spotify and ~/.config/spotify, all to no avail. I tried uninstalling Spotify-AdKiller, which didn't work, then I tried reinstalling Spotify-AdKiller and letting Spotify run until there was an ad; the ad was unmuted, but when the ad completed, Spotify muted again with the message "Ad is still on. Please wait for a moment." I then tried waiting for another ad, killing the Spotify and Spotify-AdKiller processes, and uninstalling Spotify-AdKiller again, which didn't work. And of course, I have tried the "manual unmute" command under "Important Notes" in the README, which seems to have no effect.

So, in the current state of things (with Spotify-AdKiller uninstalled), Spotify is completely silent, and when I install Spotify-AdKiller, Spotify is completely silent except for the ads, which play sound just fine. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this, and how I can resolve the issue?
