Autonomous Creator Organisation (ACO) - Contribution-Survey

Detailed Expalanation below

General Information

This provides an overall summary or context of a member, when they became involved and how many days they have worked. This could be supplemented with a contribution vote by peers to capture the more intangible contribution a member has made.

Work areas

A member can indicate the different work areas they have worked in and provide an estimate of Days / Hours worked in each area. The areas are Development , Marketing, Governance, Business, Creative, Product and Intangible work. Intangible work is meant to capture contributions not covered by the scope of a work area.

Cost calculations (to be decided)

Hours/Days worked - Costs A variable rate may be applied depending up the cost/rate of the contributor (their hourly rate and work costs).

Development

Each work area will be divided into appropriate categories (e.g. Code, UX etc.) and be accompanied with an "Outputs" section where members can record what they have produced, built, documented etc.

Marketing

Governance

Business

Product

Creative - Art

Intangible work

Peer Review

Group

After the survey each contribution is assessed for due diligence by the appropriate work area Group - to confirm that there is agreement that the work took place etc.

ACO

After the survey - intangibles are voted upon per member by the ACO.

Reward and evaluation

Once the above process is completed a member may choose either to be awarded -

Autonomous Creator Organisation (ACO) - Contribution-Survey

The key approach is to capture contributions first and assess value last. Detailed Expalanation below

Why ? Because value led models typically dictate the nature of contributions e.g. a financial incentive contribution model will tend to favor immediate returns, an equal share of rewards upfront will penalize those who have contributed more than others etc.

A contribution led model either tracks or audits ACO member contributions first. Then rewards (in ADA) or recognition (in a Token) are applied to the contribution data afterwards.

Identity

This survey encourages ACO members to identify themselves as it provides a record of their contribution.

However an anon ID option should be available and peer reviewed per work area.

@stephen-rowan and @evolayak please review 🙏🏿

I approve ✅

I have added "Social / Emotional Support" check and Contribution vote - Stephen Whitenstall

More comprehensive than my form I will have to use this as reference ! I guess ADA per hour is a snapshot (as the price varies) ?

Question- where would artist onboarding fall? Or should it have it's own category... I see it as a segue from outreach to creation/digitising the decks; facilitating the incubation process if that's needed, to Art Curation. So, a process in it's own. Could also go under intangible work maybe.

ADA per hour is what I feel ADA is worth at point of filling out (which was about 1,50€/ADA). Next writing this will probably be less ADA, as smart contract functionality will be available on testnet and that drives my personal valuation up at least 10-15%.

Depending on what steps during the onboarding. The whole onboarding (if from start to end) stretches over many categories: Business - NEtworking; Creative - Artist outreach + Curation ; Intangible - greeting new members.

Thoughts @stephen-rowan ?

@DanM3rcurius , @evolayak - I suggest we workshop/review the contributions survey to completely revise it to our needs. A lot of the categories were included for NFT-DAO. We could do this as a meeting or just share a markdown version on GitHub and revise from there ?

Meeting might be more effective at this point? I could make some room late this evening (2100CEST) Or tomorrow during the day before the weekly. Heather is busy with another project until Wednesday I think.

Hi there! the soonest I'm free is tomorrow at 6pm. )I have another call this evening, 8pm to 10:30pm or so and appointments all day tomorrow more or less). Would an hour before the weekly meeting be enough?

We’ll make it work 👍
