it was noted on IRC that our IRC channel is hard to find. I looked on the website, and it is true. I suggest we remove the "Forum" ,"Mailinglist", and "IRC logs" buttons and instead add a new button "Community" that points to a page which in turn contains links to the forum, the mailinglist archive, and the IRC channel (and its logs page), each with a short description on what it is.
For the IRC channel an irc:// link can be used (some browsers understand links of this protocol type).
