The OSIA specification version 6.0 and former versions were intellectual property of Secure Identity Alliance GEIE, located in Paris, France. Secure Identity Alliance GEIE will terminate its activities in the course of 2022. The activities of Secure Identity Alliance and its working group OSIA are taken over by Secure Identity Alliance ASBL, located in Brussels, Belgium. OSIA is now a working group of Secure Identity Alliance ASBL. The OSIA specification version 6.0 and former versions, as well as the ongoing development work, and including the software included in the specification, is taken over by Secure Identity Alliance ASBL.
The new version of the OSIA specification is version 6.1, owned and published by Secure Identity Alliance ASBL, under a new licence named the “OSIA License”. This includes the contributions that were made since the publication of version 6.0 and incorporates work done under the former versions.
Version 6.0 remains available for a certain period of time as read-only version. Users and contributors should use the newer versions of the specification and API as from versions 6.1 and later in order to contribute to, or apply, specifications that are compliant with the OSIA specifications. Work derived from the former version and forkings based on that version, are not necessarily compliant with the most recent version.
