The problem is much more bigger.

Oh, yeah there are no plans to do anything with segwit, we just liked the name.

This just means you haven't synced past where segwit is activated.

I can confirm that in fact segwit is active on segwit2x network. I've retreived coins from segwit addresses for example, http://explorer.b2x-segwit.io/block/000000000000006e445c68f0ead2e1ea2f943f227d608b615813f0750280de56

The network activated? Our code wasn't supposed to work... well, it doesn't matter, we got our premine.
