🐛 Selenium IDE button not visible nor is menu option present

In Firefox 120 as well as Firefox Developer 121, after installation the Selenium IDE is nowhere to be seen.

To Reproduce

Install Selenium IDE in Firefox 120 or later on Mac, in my case Apple Silicon.

Expected behavior

Selenium IDE button to display, menu option to be visible or some other way to start up Selenium IDE to be available.

Environment

OS: macOS 13.6.1 (aarch64 or Apple Silicon) Browser: Firefox Browser Version: 120.0 or 121.0 (both 64-bit and native AS)

OK, found a solution or possible explanation. This may simply be that Firefox has removed menu options and placing at least some symbols in the browser bar.

Solution:

  1. Go to the Extensions symbol Firefox
  2. Click and a list of extensions appear
  3. Mouse over Selenium IDE in the list
  4. When the text "Run Extension" shows, click on this.

Selenium IDE will now run. Closing for this for now.
